Unify Gender & Queer Studies Network
The Heidelberg gender & queer studies initiative brings together faculty members of the university who are interested in the various facets and disciplinary contexts offered by research in gender and sexuality.
The initiative’s goal is to promote gender & queer studies at Heidelberg University through research, teaching, networking, and outreach. Faculty, students, and administrative staff from various departments and institutions contribute their expertise and thus put gender & queer studies on the map as an interdisciplinary academic field. The initiative also maintains numerous connections beyond the university, particularly with the city of Heidelberg and the Rainbow City Heidelberg campaign, as well as with community initiatives in the region.
