Family

Students are provided with information on flexible examination arrangements.
Equality

Women should have equal opportunities. UNIFY helps to achieve this.
There are programmes for women, such as the Olympia Morata Programme.
Each faculty has a contact person for gender equality.
They support female students and female academics.
Diversity
The University of Heidelberg is committed to diversity.
It aims to ensure fair opportunities for all.
To this end, it breaks down barriers and nurtures all talents.
The University aims to enhance research and teaching through diversity.
The University focuses on seven areas: age, gender and sexuality, background, disability and illness, religion, care responsibilities and social background.
Under ‘Disability and illness’, you will find information on support measures and study assistance.
Anti-discrimination/Conflicts
Discrimination and harassment are prohibited at the university.
Conflicts should not disrupt work or studies.
The university has a scheme called GUIDE.
GUIDE offers confidential counselling. The central contact point at UNIFY coordinates this counselling.

From November 2024, there will be volunteer support officers available for discussions and assistance.
