Our offers
School holidays and public holidays do not always mean days off for parents. Heidelberg University, in collaboration with its partners, offers subsidised holiday childcare for the children of its staff. A wide range of activities, such as sport, craft and creative workshops, and excursions, form an integral part of the holiday programme. As part of this childcare service, your child will be looked after by experienced staff and will have the opportunity to make new friends with other children in small groups.
Family sports programme at Heidelberg University
Heidelberg University has been certified as a family-friendly university since 2010 and promotes a healthy work-life balance for staff, students and their families. The University Sports Department supports this aim through new initiatives in the ‘Services for Families’ programme and offers sports courses for families and children aimed at the university’s staff and students and their families. The ‘Family’ section is currently being developed. The range of activities is being gradually expanded. The contact person for the Family Sports Development section is Amelie Böna:amelie.boena@issw.uni-heidelberg.de
“Hedu.Natur” and “FerienChamps”
Heidelberg University has entered into a partnership agreement with holiday care providers Hedu.Natur and FerienChamps and offers its staff a subsidy of 44 euros per child per month. You can find details of the wide range of activities and programmes on the providers’ websites (please see the links on the right).
Registration is carried out directly through the provider of your choice. Please state there which department at Heidelberg University you work for. You can then deduct the € 44 subsidy from the total fee in advance when transferring the holiday care payment. The University will then reimburse the provider for the subsidy at the end of the holiday care period.
If you are interested, please fill in the form on the right and send it to the Family Services Department. kinderhaus@uni-heidelberg.de
