Clearing Service Research and Family
Counselling services
As part of Heidelberg University's commitment to actively supporting the reconciliation of parenthood and science, the Clearing Service Research and Family has been set up to promote female and male researchers. When a baby is born into a family, the Clearing Service offers the parent who takes on the role of raising the child a counselling session with the head of the institute, clinic or working group to plan their future academic career within the framework of future cooperation.
During this meeting, the heads of the respective academic institution and the researcher jointly set goals for professional development and negotiate constructive conditions for this development in the interests of both parties. During maternity leave or parental leave, it is possible to request a temporary substitute.
If you have any questions about this offer or would like to arrange a consultation for yourself or an employee, please contact Charlotte von Knobelsdorff by email or telephone.
