Programme

The series of events “AGEING IN A CHANGING WORLD” explores current issues surrounding ageing and offers new perspectives on the future of an ageing society.

In five lectures, academics will examine various aspects of ageing – from perceptions of old age in research and society, through cultural perspectives on ageing, to topics such as demographic change, the menopause and successful ageing.

The lecture series is accompanied by the exhibition “AGEING – A LIFETIME”. On display are selected photographs and visual entries from a competition that reveal personal, creative and diverse perspectives on ageing. The exhibition invites visitors to reflect on their own ideas about growing older and to engage in conversation with others.
